Is this a dating app?
No. Wanderist is for platonic Outings — group activities around a shared interest. There's no swiping, no matching and no romantic framing in the product.
How old do I have to be?
18. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and accounts under 18 can't be created.
Someone made me uncomfortable. What do I do?
Block them, report them, or both. Blocking takes effect immediately and works both ways — you disappear from each other's app. Reporting sends your written reason to moderators. Blocking someone does not tell them you did.
Who can see my location?
Your approximate location decides what Outings you're shown; that isn't visible to anyone else. Live location is shared only with emergency contacts you chose yourself, only while you're checked in to an Outing, and it stops when the Outing ends.
I paid for a ticket and want a refund.
Refunds follow the policy the host set, which was shown to you before you paid. Ask the host first — they can refund you from inside the app. If an event is cancelled outright, refunds are automatic. If a host is unreachable or the policy isn't being honoured, email us.
I'm a host and haven't been paid.
Payouts run through your connected Stripe account on Stripe's schedule. Check the payouts screen in the app first — an incomplete Stripe onboarding or a failed verification is the usual cause, and both say so there.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, from your profile. See deleting your account for what's removed and what isn't.
Do you sell my data?
No. Advertisers choose interest tags and a radius; they never receive a list of people. See the privacy policy.
